We've got some new items in our online store. We still have framed prints, mouse pads, and post cards, but now we also have fridge magnets and coffee mugs. The fridge magents are amazing... if you don't have a lot of wall space or the budget for an original piece of art, now you can get one in miniature! And compared to the cost of owning a real framed painting, or even a framed print, they're a bargain. If you've ever visited my online gallery, then you've already noticed a huge difference in the layout and design. I've decided to have my site redesigned to make it more accessible and easier on the eyes. I've also decided to have all of my artwork reshot. When I first created my online art gallery, my artwork was shot almost 7 years ago with a 1-megapixel camera! Back then, I also had a lot less server space for my images and I couldn't really show larger, more detailed images of my work.

Now in 2006, I have more server space and my son, who designs and maintains my gallery, has a much better digital camera. We are in the process right now of reshooting all the remaining works that I have for sale. How much of a difference can a couple of mega-pixels and some server space make? Check out the differences in the images below. They are the same painting, but the image on the left taken earlier this year The image on the right was taken almost 7 years ago.

We are also going to be creating a store on CafePress to sell smaller reproductions of my work on all sorts of merchandise. Instead of purchasing a large painting and having it matted and framed (which could be out of some people's budget), you'll be able to visit my online store and purchase the same work of art on a set of post cards, a calendar, coffee mug, or even a smaller framed print for a fraction of the cost.

Finally, you might notice that there aren't as many works on my site right now as there used to be. I am still going through my collection and looking at what used to be listed on the website and seeing what has already sold and I'm also preparing new works for the gallery. If a favorite work of yours is no longer online, and you were curious about ordering a print or other item from Cafe Press, please let me know and I might be able to recreate it for you.

I also still accept commisioned works, so if you have an idea for a painting or portrait that you would like painted, please contact me and sent me a sample. I will get back in touch with you and we can discuss your needs and my fees.
